Project activities include: 1) Biocontrol of purple loosestrife; 2) Hand removal of Eurasian water milfoil; 3) chemical treatment of 7 species of exotics; 4) reseeding with native plants in treated areas where appropriate and feasible; 5) continued experimentation with biodegradable fiber mats on lake bed to grow native vegetation; 6) annual monitoring and mapping of populations of each invasive species ; 7) a workshop for landowners to identify invasive species; and 8) coordination and training of volunteers for hand removal of wetland invasive species where appropriate.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Cbcw Program 2013: The Eagle Springs Lakes Management District will continue their Clean Boats, Clean Waters program in 2013. The grant covers inspections that will occur from May 2013 through October 2013. The District will hire 10 part time watercraft inspectors to staff the Eagle Springs boat launch (272 hours maximum). The inspectors will staff the launch during busy times, primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The project deliverables include 1) entry of all watercraft inspection data into the statewide database (SWIMS) and 2) a short report summarizing the 2013 season inspection program (how many boats inspected, any difficulties encountered, how many hours worked, summary statistics from SWIMS and a log of the dates/times worked).

City Of Delafield: Hlk-Graham Street & Misc Private Property Hl Bmps: The City of Delafield will implement best practices described in Wisconsin\2019s 2014-2017 Healthy Lakes Implementation Plan on Nagawicka Lake. Practices include: 350 ft2 native plantings, rain gardens, and diversion practices on 3 properties, including the City\2019s Graham Street demonstration site.
The best practices require a contract to remain in effect for 10 years and must include minimum operation and maintenance requirements and data collection as described in grant condition #17. If best practice(s) are implemented on land owned by the grant Sponsor, this Lake Protection Grant Agreement serves as the contract. If best practice(s) are implemented on land other than the sponsor\2019s, a contract between the sponsor and landowner that abides by grant condition #16 is required.
The Department may require re-payment of project installation costs if the best practice is disturbed or removed. The Sponsor and/or the Department may perform site inspections and/or monitoring to ensure project success.
Deliverables: Best practice location and design information, if not included in the application; signed 10-year landowner contract; pre and post project installation photographs; summary of education activities and publicity/promotion of Healthy Lakes initiative, if applicable.
Special conditions: The state share of each best practice cannot exceed $1,000. The state share of grant administration and technical assistance costs may not exceed 10% of the grant award; technical assistance does not include implementation labor. Funding cannot be used for mitigation or regulatory compliance activities. Water regulation and/or county zoning permits must be issued before construction. The Healthy Lakes logo should be used for promotion and publicity, and DNR recognized as a funding source.

Big Muskego/Bass Bay P & R District: Lmi-Df-Lake Drawdown Diagnostic Feasibility Study: The Big Muskego/Bass Bay Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to conduct an extensive water quality and aquatic plant diagnostic feasibility examination of the proposed drawdown and fish eradication at Big Muskego Lake. Project activities include determining rates of nitrogen and phosphorous release from sediments, analyzing sediment cores to determine moisture content, density, organic matter, total sediment nitrogen and phohphorous, porewater nitrogen and phosphorous, extractable phosphorous, and exchangeable sediment nitrogen, and evaluating changes in the distribution, abundance, and species composistion of aquatic macrophytes from aerial photography and field survey work before and after drawdown. This agreement covers the costs of the activities listed in the application as scheduled to be performed during 1995. The US Army Corps of Engineers will provide 50% cost share assistance in match to finance the study.

Delavan Lake Sd: Lmi-Permeable Paver Roadway - Delavan Lake Association, Inc.: The Delavan Lake Sanitary District will partner with the Assembly Park subdivision to facilitate the installation of 243,000 square feet of permeable pavers for a 25.4 acre subdivision. Approximately 5 acres of local paved roads will be removed and replaced with permeable pavers. Assembly Park will enter into a 10 year maintenance agreement with the Delavan Lake Sanitary District to retain the pavers. The project deliverables include a narrative detailing the installation of the pavers and a photo essay documenting each step of the construction project.

Delavan Lake Sd: Acq-Brown'S Channel Watershed Land Acquisition #1: The Delavan Lake Sanitary District (DLSD) will use this grant to pay for part of the purchase of 18 lots along Browns Channel, part of Delavan Lake, located in the Town of Delavan. The project includes the Brown parcel (1.38 acres) and the Odling Parcel (0.30 acre), zoned Lowland Conservation District (C4). The parcel borders other DLSD lands under protection.

The DLSD will manage two invasive species, buckthorn and bush honeysuckle and other woody vegetation through yearly removal or cutting, with the goal of removing 80% within three years of property purchase. Native species will be planted in areas that non- native species are removed. Bank stabilization and stream channel habitat improvement projects will also take place.

All maintenance and improvement activities will be the responsibility of the DLSD in accordance with the Land Management Plan, dated January 22nd, 2015.

The project deliverable is the completed land purchase of 1.68 acres of land (the Brown and Odling parcels) in South Shore Manor 1st Addition.

Town Of Delavan: Lmi - Delavan Town Park Bmp Project: The Town of Delavan is sponsoring a project to install Best Management Practices along an unnamed tributary to Delavan Lake that terminates in the Town Park.

Project final deliverables include: a copy of the final plans and specifications and a photo essay showing before and after pictures of each BMP element.
Specific project activities include: 1) development of design and final plans for the project; 2) installation of approximately 10 BMP elements along the unnamed tributary to Delavan Lake.

The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.

Geneva Lake Environmental Agency: Lmi-Fd-Lake Geneva Diagnostic Feasibility Study: The Geneva Lake Environmental Agency proposes to conduct a diagnostic feasibility study for Lake Geneva in Walworth County. Project activities include 1) 3 year water quality monitoring program, 2) lake sediment core collection and analysis, 3) evaluation of the hydrological regime of and pollutant loading potential of selected streams draining into the lake, 4) quantification and assessment of the quality and status of biological communities in the lake, 5) public information and issues surveys, and 6) preparation and refinement of comprehensive watershed and lake management plans for the lake. This grant covers the first year of project costs.

City Of Lake Geneva: Lmi-Stormwater Management Study Implementation-Geneva: The City of Lake Geneva will implement a stormwater management plan. As part of this stormwater management plan implementation, the city will construct 2 strormwater detention ponds with LPT program funding.

Waukesha County Land Conservancy: Acq-Wilson Parcel - Lily Lake: The Waukesha Land Conservancy wishes to purchase 60 acres of land in the SW corner of Waukesha County. Two lakes (Henrietta and Waterville) lie within 750 feet of the property and the parcel contains a 3.2 acre lake, named Lily Lake. The property is also adjacent to Scuppernong Creek. The parcel contains deep marsh, a bog and sedge meadow and is listed as Class 1 Wildlife Habitat. The Waukesha Land Conservancy will provide an area for canoe access and parking. The parcel is listed as a NA-2 by SEWRPC. The landowner is donating $55,000 of value and accepting an offer less than the certified value.
AMENDMENT: The Waukesha Land Conservancy will purchase a total of 60.68 acres, and the project also includes a 40 foot-wide easement and 35 foot-wide building setback extending around the edge of the property acquired and the eastern edge of the wetland complex for the purpose of protecting the wetland and the lake (see project file for legal description).

Walworth County: Acq-Honey Lake Land Acquisition - Lin Property: Walworth County will acquire approximately 123 acres of land to preserve and enhance the water quality of the downstream lake, Honey Lake. The goals of the property's management plan are to permanently preserve and protect the diversity and uniqueness of the existing land covering the Sugar Creek floodlands and shorelines, various wetland plan communities, uplands, and open field grasslands and to provide passive recreational opportunities such as hiking, natura study, and cross country skiing.

Lac La Belle Environmental Foundation: Acq-Lac La Belle Saeger Creek- Kolesar Acquisition: The Lac La Belle Environmental Foundation will acquire one acre of land on Lake Lac La Belle in Waukesha County for the protection and improvement of the water quality of the lake.

Village Of Lac La Belle: Acq- Canceled Lac La Belle Stream Corridor Easement: The Village of Lac La Belle will purchase conservation easements on three Alan Runyard properties in an effort to reduce sediment and phosphorus that flow into Lac La Belle through the Golf Course Stream on the north side of the lake by implementation of best management practices. BMPs include buffer strips planted with native vegetation, clearing of invasive species, and stream bank stabilization. Two properties will have a 75\2019 conservation easement on the east side of the property, along the west bank of the Golf Course Stream. A third conservation easement will be for the construction of a 2.2 acre water quality basin that will intercept runoff and allow pollutants to be removed through settling.

The conservation easements will be held in perpetuity by the Village of Lac La Belle, the grant application sponsor.

The site will be maintained by the easement holder (Village of Lac La Belle) or its designee. Public access is not part of the easement agreement, but as the easement holder, the Village will have the right to enter, construct, install, inspect, operate, maintain, replace and repair landscape and drainage features or improvements within the easement area. The Village will also retain the right to add or remove soils and/or vegetation within the easement.

Special conditions for submittal of recorded easement, canceled checks for purchase of easement and other eligible associated acquisition costs, and other documents will be detailed in the grant contract. Lake Ripley Management District: Acq-Lake Ripley Land Acquisition - Probst Property: Lake Ripley Management District will acquire about 99 acres of croplands and wetlands that help make up the only inlet to Lake Ripley. The acquisition project consists of two parts; 1) about 63 1/2 acres of farmed/wetland and 2) about 35 1/2 acres of drained wetland. This land will contribute to water quality improvements in Lake Ripley by stopping sedimentation from cropland in a soon to be restored wetland.

Lake Ripley Management District: Acq-Lake Ripley-Johnson Acquisition: The Lake Ripley Management District will purchase a 65.926-acre parcel of the James & Jane Johnson property in the Town of Oakland, Jefferson County. The property will link the 100-acre Lake Ripley Preserve to 40 acres of DNR-owned wetlands along Lake Ripley's only inlet. This purchase would also ensure the protection, in perpetuity, of a critical stream corridor and wetland/floodplain complex within the headwaters region of Lake Ripley. By purchasing this property, Lake Ripley Management District will be able to establish protective conservation buffers; gain access to additional wetland and stream areas for purchases of protection and restoration; and will preserve one of the watershed's few remaining woodlots.

Lake Ripley Management District: Res-Hoard-Curtis Scout Camp Lkshore Rest.: Lake Ripley Management District proposes to undertake a shoreline stabilization and restoration project at the Hoard-Curtis Scout Camp shoreline on Lake Ripley, Jefferson County. They will install riprap off-shore of the existing shoreline (DNR permit already issued), plant aquatic plants inland of that riprap, and do upland seeding (to supplement previously completed plug plantings) after invasive weed and brush removal. The deliverable for this project will consist of a final written report describing the major steps in the project, supplemented with photo documentation of the work in progress and the final, complete project. Copies of publicity used during the project should be attached as well. Specific deliverables of the project (that is, detailed description of the restoration project) are contained within the grant application scope on page 4.

Little Muskego Lake P & R District: Acq-Little Muskego Lake Land Acquisition - Bohn Property: The Little Muskego Lake P & R District will acquire 8.8 acres located in the SW 1/4 of Section 33 in the City of New Berlin, as part of the Little Muskego Lake Community's plan to purchase, reclaim, restore and preserve approximately 12 miles of stream corridor tributary to Little Muskego Lake. The property includes a segment of Calhoun Creek, wooded floodplain, wetlands, and uplands. Long term goals for this property include maintaining it in its present natural condition. Activities that will be considered for implementation per the property's land management plan include establishment of a prairie on the uplands, construction and placement of wood duck houses, developing a fish habitat improvement plan, and planning and construction of a stable formal trail system within the parcel.

Little Muskego Lake P & R District: Acq-Little Muskego Lake P & Rd - Rathke Acquisition: The Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District will acquire 20.57 acres in Waukesha County.The property contains an intermittent stream and wetlands including an emergent wet meadow with thick stand of cattails. Educational benefits of this property will include a formal trail system and educational study station.

City Of Muskego: Res-Little Muskego- Holz Island Restoration: The City of Muskego will install a number of shoreline restoration best management practices on Holz Island, located on Little Muskego Lake. These include vegetated rip rap, coconut logs, tree drops, emergent shoreline plantings and prairie plantings. Existing invasive plant species on the island will be cleared and eradicated to the extent possible. Quantities, lengths and methods have been outlined in the grant application. The project deliverables include implementation of the grant application as well as a short report detailing accomplishments, hours spent, materials placed and a picture essay. The picture essay should include before, during and after pictures. Two paper and one electronic copy of the report should be submitted.

Lauderdale Lakes Conservancy, Inc: Acq-Middle Marsh Acquisition: This grant is to aquire the Comar Property of 4.54 acres of upland and marsh property. With this acquistion there will be an easement aquired of 50 foot wide for access to the property purchased.

The closing statement and recording of grant agreement will have to be finalized before issuing payment of grant amount.

Lauderdale Lakes Management District: Res-Lauderdale Lakes Watershed Protection Project: The Lauderdale Lakes Management District will implement a comprehensive wetland restoration project throughout the watershed.

12/01/99 Scope Change. Wants to acquire land to create a recommended stormwater pond. Money that had been slated to install some BMP's will be shifted to the land acquisition and stormwater pond construction. The BMP's will be installed under the nonpoint program.

The approximately 7 acre wetland property will be restored where necessary. Approximately half of the wetland property needs enhancement. Invasive species will be removed. The site will be prepared and planted with native wetland plants. The project deliverable will be a short report detailing the restoration methods used. The report should contain a few before/after pictures. Department staff will tour the completed restoration site before closing the grant and issuing the final grant payment.

City Of Delafield: Acq-Nagawicka Lake-St. Johns Park Acquisition: The City of Delafield will acquire approximately .61 acres of land on the western border of Nagawicka Lake for lake protection and public outdoor recreation purposes. Eligible costs include acquisition of the parcel, appraisal fee and preparation of an environmental assessment

Waukesha County Land Conservancy: Acq-Nagawicka Lake Land Acquisition-R&M Investments Property: The Waukesha Land Conservancy proposes to acquire 12.4 acres of land, including 411 feet of shoreline, situated on nagawicka Lake in the Village of Nashota, WUkesha County for lake protection purposes. The property includes approxi 5 acres of upland and 7 acres of wetland that is part of a larger Tamarack Bog. The primary goals of the property's land management plan are to maintain and enhance the natural state of the property, to control non-native and non-bog species, and to allow public access for recreational uses such as hiking, nature appreciation, and for educational purposes.

Waukesha County Land Conservancy: Acq-Nagawicka Lake Bog - Parcel 3 Acquisition: The Waukesha Land Conservancy will acquire 2.85 acres of land on Nagawicka Lake for lake protection purposes.

City Of Delafield: Lmi-Df-Diagnostic Feasibility Study For Nagawicka: Diagnostic and feasibility study for Nagawicka Lake to improve and enhance the water quality of the Lake. There will be a final design for the wet detention basins based on the preferred design alternatives selected by the City of Delafield and the DNR. There will be at least 6 formal meetings or presentations in addition to the public information meetings anticipated. The details for the study and final design are described in the project description.

The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.

City Of Delafield: Hlk-Graham Street & Misc Private Property Hl Bmps: The City of Delafield will implement best practices described in Wisconsin\2019s 2014-2017 Healthy Lakes Implementation Plan on Nagawicka Lake. Practices include: 350 ft2 native plantings, rain gardens, and diversion practices on 3 properties, including the City\2019s Graham Street demonstration site.
The best practices require a contract to remain in effect for 10 years and must include minimum operation and maintenance requirements and data collection as described in grant condition #17. If best practice(s) are implemented on land owned by the grant Sponsor, this Lake Protection Grant Agreement serves as the contract. If best practice(s) are implemented on land other than the sponsor\2019s, a contract between the sponsor and landowner that abides by grant condition #16 is required.
The Department may require re-payment of project installation costs if the best practice is disturbed or removed. The Sponsor and/or the Department may perform site inspections and/or monitoring to ensure project success.
Deliverables: Best practice location and design information, if not included in the application; signed 10-year landowner contract; pre and post project installation photographs; summary of education activities and publicity/promotion of Healthy Lakes initiative, if applicable.
Special conditions: The state share of each best practice cannot exceed $1,000. The state share of grant administration and technical assistance costs may not exceed 10% of the grant award; technical assistance does not include implementation labor. Funding cannot be used for mitigation or regulatory compliance activities. Water regulation and/or county zoning permits must be issued before construction. The Healthy Lakes logo should be used for promotion and publicity, and DNR recognized as a funding source.

Waukesha County: Acq-Pewaukee Lake Ryan Park Acquisition - Glass Property: The Waukesha County Park and Planning Commission will acquire 86.6 acres of land for lake protection. The preservation of this parcel for open space and passive park use. Eligible costs include acquisition of the parcel, appraisal fee and preparation of an environmental assessment.

Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District: Acq-Land Acquisition For Gluth Property: The Pewaukee Lake Sanitary District (PLSD) will use this grant to pay for the recent purchase of the Gluth property, located in the City of Pewaukee. The parcel is 30.67acres, including 26 acres of wetland and 4.67acres of upland woods and prairie. The parcel is primarily located in the shoreland zone of Pewaukee Lake. A tributary to Pewaukee Lake runs through a portion of the parcel. The PLSD will manage the invasive species (primarily buckthorn) through yearly cutting and herbicide treatment. The prairie will be expanded by mowing and seeding. The prairie will also be maintained by periodic controlled burns. The parcel will be used as an educational classroom by the local school district. Posts will be installed on the perimeter of the property to prevent filling of wetlands by adjacent landowners. A trail will be maintained on the property for controlled access. The PLSD hopes to install habitat improvements on the Pewaukee Lake Tributary to improve northern pike spawning. All maintenance and improvement activities will be the responsibility of the PLSD in accordance with the submitted Land Management Plan, dated December 3, 2012.

Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District: Acq-Lake Pewaukee Sd Property Acquisition: The Pewaukee Lake Sanitary District (PLSD) will use this grant to pay for part of the purchase of the Ogden property, located in the Town of Pewaukee. The parcel is 56 acres, including 50 acres of wetland and 6 acres of upland. The site is about a mile upstream of Pewaukee Lake. It contains a spring fed pond and has a class \201CA\201D trout stream, Coldwater Creek running along its southern border. Coldwater Creek flows about a half mile to Coco Creek, which then flow a half mile to Pewaukee Lake. The parcel borders other PLSD lands under protection.

The PLSD will manage an invasive species, buckthorn through yearly removal or cutting, with the goal to remove a minimum of \00BC acre per year. A prairie on the parcel will be maintained by periodic controlled burns at least once every 3 years. The parcel will be used as an educational classroom by the local school district, the Pewaukee River Partnership and the Pewaukee Women\2019s Club. A new wetland delineation will be completed within the first year of ownership. The District will install an asphalt or concrete pad in the upland \201Cbuildable area\201D on the northeast corner of the property to provide for recycling/composting of aquatic plants harvested from Lake Pewaukee. Permanent posts will be placed every 100 feet along the wetland on the edge of the \201Cbuildable \201Carea\201D by the composting site.

A barn will be removed within the first year and a house will be removed within 2 years of PLSD ownership. A small existing garage will remain on site for storage of machinery and tools.

All maintenance and improvement activities will be the responsibility of the PLSD in accordance with the revised Land Management Plan, dated December 31, 2013.

Town Of Delavan: Lmi - Delavan Town Park Bmp Project: The Town of Delavan is sponsoring a project to install Best Management Practices along an unnamed tributary to Delavan Lake that terminates in the Town Park.

Project final deliverables include: a copy of the final plans and specifications and a photo essay showing before and after pictures of each BMP element.
Specific project activities include: 1) development of design and final plans for the project; 2) installation of approximately 10 BMP elements along the unnamed tributary to Delavan Lake.

Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 2) Volunteer lists, equipment use lists and signatures shall be maintained for reporting in kind volunteer labor and equipment.

Village Of Summit: Lco-Shoreland Ordinance Development/Update: The Village of Summit intends to update the existing shoreland ordinance to meet the revised standards of NR 115. The Village is proposing to create a separate Village floodplain ordinance. The Village is also proposing to combine the shoreland ordinance and current Village zoning code. The Village will identify representatives from the four lake management districts and several lake associations to assist in the ordinance review. Draft documents will be reviewed by Village staff and officials. Updates will be provided to the public during regularly scheduled public meetings. The project deliverables include 1) minutes and advertisements for the public informational meetings; 2) maps of the updated shoreland jurisdictional boundaries; 3) maps of groundwater recharge areas; 4) a new Village floodplain ordinance and 5) a new combined shoreland ordinance and zoning code. The process of updating the documents is expected to take one year from grant approval.

Waukesha County: Acq-Willow Springs-Neubert Property Acquisition: Waukesha County proposes to acquire the 9.7 acre Neubert property, located on Spring Creek - Fox River tributary. The purchase will include approximately 1,000 feet of lake frontage and help insure water quality to Willow Springs Lake. This grant will also maintain wetland and the wildlife habitat and to develop public information programs.

Booth Lake Management District: Booth Lake Management Plan: This project is proposed by Booth Lake Management District to be a multitasked information gathering by the District and SEWRPC on Booth Lake. Project elements are as follows: Recreation use survey, ID of citizen concerns, assessment of land use and lake use, development of a management plan, public information meetings and water quality monitoring. The water quality monitoring will consist of 1) fish survey; 2) aquatic plant survey; 3) ambient water quality and water quality modeling.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Usgs Water Quality Monitoring & Ws Mapping: Water quality monitoring during 1992-1996. Water quality analyses and lake-depth profiles will be published annually by USGS.A watershed map will be produced. A final progress report on water quality trends in Eagle Spring Lake will be produced. USGS will make a public presentation on water quality trends in the lake.Information will be disseminated to the public by newsletter, local nespaper articles, public meetings, and summary report mailings.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Water Quality Monitoring And Analysis: The Eagle Spring Lake Management District proposes to continue water quality monitoring on Eagle Spring Lake. The data collected will be used to assess and refine lake and watershed management activities planned for Eagle Spring Lake. The Department of Natural Resource will be provided with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report for the project. Information about the project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter and public meeting.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Septic Systems Evaluation: The Eagle Spring Lake Management District will: 1.) Provide information on maintenance of household onsite sewage disposal sustems to residents within the district; 2.) Conduct a visual inspection of onsite sewage disposal systems. This inspection will seek to identify failed or failing onsite sewage disposal systems; 3.) Inspectors will discuss details of the individual spetic system, any operational problems, age of system, load to system and maintenance history; 4.) Review of existing data pertaining to the soils and other pertinent information relating to the suitability of onsite sewage disposal systems in the Eagle Spring Lake area; 5.) Formulate a district on site sewerage disposal policy and make management recommendations for district consideration. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both written and electronic copies of the final report.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Management Plan: The purpose of this project is to produce a document for a SEWRPC Memorandum Report. The document will include elements of the Project WET/Adopt a Lake curricula into the lake management plans of Eagle Spring and Upper and Lower Phantom Lakes, identify any refinements to those plans and identify informational needs present in the community. The report will draw on data gathered from a recreational use survey and the DNR Self Help Monitoring Program.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Hydrolic Analysis-Phase 1: Hydraulic Analysis: Phase II contains these 3 items: a) Lake refill study will calculate potential refill times based on the last 35 years of precipitaiton records. Probability plots of refill times will be prepared to assess variability. b) Downstream impact study will include analysis of downstream floodplain impacts, analysis of potential downstream river bed scour and analysis of potential impacts to Lower Phantom Lake. c) A groundwater model will be developed by USGS for Eagle Spring and Lulu Lakes.
The project deliverables will be an electronic version and paper copy of project report containing the following elements: 1) lake refill study; 2) analysis of downstream impacts due to proposed lake drawdown; and 3) analysis of impacts to local wells.

Scope change amendment #2 in May 2005 was to add a specific line item for a sediment and coring dating study for $2000.

Scope change amendment #3 in July 2005 was to add a specific line item for development of a marl budget for Eagle Spring Lake for $4,080

The "downstream impact" line item was adjusted down $6080 on September 27, 2005 to account for this.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Sediment Impact Analysis: Phase 1 - Sediment Impact Analysis. AUSACOE sediment study consisting of: a) Collection of 12 sediment cores. 6 cores will be analyzed for phosphorus (P) release from the marl layer and 6 cores will be analyzed for P release from the organic (i.e. peat) layer. 3 cores of each will be tested in oxic conditions and 3 cores of each will be tested in anozic conditions. b) Collection of 3 sediment cores to esdtimate compaction due to sediment dewatering. c) Collection of 9 sediment cores to estimate internal phosphorus loading in the surface marl layer as a result of sediment dewatering.

A electronic version and paper copy of a report of A through C above and a separate report containing the following elements: 1) Long term water budget; 2) Analysis of the capacity of the two Eagle Spring Lake outlets(i.e.dams): 3) Mapping of potential lake bed to be exposed during a lake drawdown; and 4) Recommendations for extent of drawdown (depth, duration and rate).

This project will 1) Compile and synthesis watershed tributary data 2) Water quality and quantity data collection 3) Aquatic plant community inventory 4) Review & identify environmentally critical areas in and around the lake 5) Assessment of recreational use and use demands on the lake 6) Review water quality and use problems 7) Determine alternative water quality management actions 8) Identify future community informational need 9) development of recommended in lake water quality management 9) Development of recommended water quality management actions 10) Conduct public information programs. Products to be produced are:1) a SEWRPC Community Assistance Planning report containing the elements listed above; 2) A comprehensive lake management plan and 3) an aquatic plant management plan.

Eagle Spring Lake Management District: Eagle Spring Lake Plant Survey 2016: Eagle Spring Lake Management District is sponsoring a project to update their aquatic plant management plan.

Project final deliverables: Entry of all data collected into an Excel spreadsheet and an updated APM plan.

Specific project activities: 1) Completion of an approximately 452 point intercept plant survey; 2) entry of results into an Excel spreadsheet; 3) a report with summary tables and maps; 4) upload Excel spreadsheet into SWIMS.

Special Conditions: The report should contain: 1) Summary tables listing plants found, # sites found, overall % frequency of occurrence, % relative frequency of occurrence, overall average density rating; 2) Discussion explaining what the results mean and an overall assessment of the lake plant community; 3) Distribution maps for each exotic species and the top 5-7 native plants (using P/I points); 4) A map imposed on an air photo denoting the harvester cutting paths and areas (in color); 5) Discussion of harvesting logistics- proposed location of off load site(s) and disposal site, map of disposal site, road map showing the disposal site, how often to cut, how deep to cut, how wide to cut; 6) Discussion of the typical chemical treatment strategy showing where chemical treatment typically occurs; 7) Discussion of any new proposed chemical treatment areas; 8) A table summarizing APM options/action items.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

Lake Beulah Management District: Lake Beulah Aquatic Plant Management Plan: Produce an aquatic plant survey including list of common aquatic plants and their distribution, map of plant beds, sensitive areas, shoreline development and access locations, a table of lake hydrography and morphology, description of fisheries andwildlife, and a description of lake use. Develop an aquatic plant management plan. Disseminate information to the public by public meetings, local newspaper articles, public library and sportsman's club newsletter.

Lake Beulah Management District: Lake Beulah Nonpoint Source Identification And Public Educat: The Lake Beulah Management District will undertake a watershed inventory/nonpoint source identification analysis and do a public education program.The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.

Lake Beulah Management District: Lake Beulah Sediment, Ground Water And Historical Analysis: The Lake Beulah Management District will undertake water quality analysis of Lake Beulah that includes sediment core sampling, ground water flow direction analysis and historical data management and analysis. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.

Lake Beulah Management District: Lake Beulah Groundwater Modeling & Mapping: The LBMD will undertake a project to understand the hydrology and hydrologic response of the Lake Beulah subwatershed. Piezometers will be installed at various locations around the lake, inlet/outlet monitoring will be conducted and a water budget for Lake Beulah will be established. The project deliverable for this grant will be the submittal of two paper copies and one electronic copy (on a CD-ROM) of the final report to the WDNR. The final report will contain the following elements: 1) Summarized raw data for the piezometers; 2) Summarized inflow/outflow data; 3) Estimates of precipitation, evaporation and overland flow; 4) Modeling of groundwater contribution and aerial distribution to Lake Beulah; 5) a discussion of the accuracy of the model and 6) Results of simulations conducted on the model to evaluate impacts to the lake and groundwater during stresses (such as a high capacity well withdrawal).
